California HMong Advocates Network and Building Our Future – CA for Peace Collaborative

OUR MISSION

CHAN-BOF works to end gender-based violence by shifting cultural norms in the HMong and underserved communities.

We envision a community where youth, women, Queer and Trans folks and their families are healthy, free from violence, and thrive from generation to generation.

SURVIVOR-LED. COMMUNITY-LED.

Founded in 2019 through the unification of two California movements – California HMong Advocates Network (CHAN) and Building Our Future (BOF) – CHAN-BOF is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization led by HMong survivors, community members, advocates, organizers, and professionals in various sectors.

Through culturally-responsive advocacy, collaboration, and education, we engage and empower people to become agents for change in the prevention and eradication of domestic and gender-based violence.
